Welcome to the 2008 Championships

The 13th UCI World Masters Track Cycling Championships were successfully staged Down Under in Sydney, Australia. The Dunc Gray Velodrome saw extremely exciting and competitive racing over the six days of competition. A record 425 riders entered the Championships and displayed great sportsmanship with many old friendships revisited and new ones forged. Our international visitors of 190 riders from 25 countries experienced a fantastic week at the Championships and were full of praise for the organisation, the venue and spirit of competition.

The addition of the Scratch races to the Championships program for the first time, proved to be a great success with exciting racing and one of the highlights of the event program as a spectacle.

The Gala Dinner conducted at the end of the Championships recognised each of the Champion of Champions from each age division.

For those riders who experienced issues with receiving the 2007 race coverage of events after placing orders, we sincerely apologise for any delays and disappointment.  Problems related to technical issues and these will be addressed for the 2008 event to avoid this happening again.

We now welcome you to the 14th UCI Track Cycling Masters World Championships and invite you to be part of the experience in 2008.
